Barbara was a Research Assistant at The Lab @ DC while a graduate student studying social psychology in the PhD program at The University of Kansas. Her research has encompassed topics including social identity, intergroup relations, collective action, and environmental behavior change.
While at The Lab, Barbara applied her knowledge of experimental design and psychological theory to large-scale field experiments and randomized controlled trials. Prior to graduate school, Barbara worked as the Lab Manager for the Center for Behavioral and Decision Research at Carnegie Mellon University, where she learned about a variety of behavioral science disciplines, assisted with research projects, and honed her organizational skills.
Barbara received her B.A. in psychology, with a concentration in peace and conflict studies, from Oberlin College.
