Emma Vinella-Brusher BA
Emma Vinella-Brusher is a Research Intern at The Lab @ DC and a graduate student at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studies City & Regional Planning and Public Health. She is particularly interested in how transportation can improve health and well-being by providing equitable, multi-modal access to food, healthcare, greenspace, and other resources.
Prior to joining The Lab @ DC, Emma worked for the U.S. Department of Transportation Volpe Center in Cambridge, MA, where she co-founded the Transportation Equity Program and worked on projects related to public lands, disaster recovery, accessibility, and more.
Emma received her B.A. in Environmental Studies at Carleton College, where she ran track and led sustainability and hunger initiatives. In her free time, Emma enjoys running, biking, live music, and gardening.
