Tyler Loewenstein BA
Tyler is a Research Assistant in The Lab @ DC. He is currently completing his Master of Public Administration at the School of Public Affairs at American University. Tyler works across several teams at The Lab to advance evidence-based practices and also serves as a teaching assistant to Dr. Ryan Moore.
Tyler brings along a diverse background in project management, state and federal politics, and policy analysis. Most recently, he worked with the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) to administer programs that advance New York State’s clean energy economy. In that capacity, Tyler worked on a team to oversee energy efficient building projects, conduct internal data analysis, and foster relationships among strategic partners in the energy sector. Previously, he has also represented non-profit organizations in the New York State legislature and interned for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Tyler earned a B.A. in government from American University and is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. He is also an Eagle Scout. A resident of Ward 3, Tyler enjoys trying out new local restaurants, eating hot peppers, and exploring the green spaces around DC.
